I'm Joe Bruscato, and I'd like to be your next State's Attorney.

As a Rockford City Attorney for the past several years, I know first-hand the issues and frustrations the citizens of this County face. My experience outside the County in the Office of the Illinois Attorney General, as a City Attorney in Green Bay, Wisconsin and in the Brown County (Wis.) District Attorney's office allows me to bring a new, prosecutorial perspective to the office.

As State's Attorney, my vision is to provide the strong leadership needed to improve the quality and safety of this community. It starts with stronger, aggressive prosecution of crimes and getting cases to trial faster. However, it doesn't end there.

My vision also includes a coordinated effort led by the State's Attorney where all have a stake in eliminating crime. As State's Attorney I will create partnerships with law enforcement agencies across the County. I'll seek the ideas of our elected officials and our business and community leaders to create initiatives that strike at crime and improve the lives of all of our citizens.

When the community takes up a cause, as the State's Attorney, I will be there to roll up my sleeves and join in. Together, with your support, we can bring safety and security to the streets of Winnebago County.
